Saturday December 3
Group 4: Cherokee 32, Absegami 25 OT
Mike Isgro threw for 229 yards & 2 TDs and Steve Hevalow ran for 131 yards and scored 3 times. But it wasn't enough. Cherokee rallied from a 19-0 deficit to score on a kickoff return & interception return, taking advantage of 7 Gami turnovers.
Class 2: St. Joseph 33, Queen of Peace 6
Jack Corcoran ran for 113 yards and 3 TDs as the Wildcats stretched their win streak to 19 games with their 7th straight NJSIAA title. Richard White ran for 118 yards and a score.


Wednesday November 23
Buena 39, St. Augustine 20
Dennis Ehret rushed for 268 yards & 4 TDs to help the Chiefs end their 6-game losing streak this year and increase their series lead to 11-4. St. Augustine had won the last 2 years.
Thursday November 24
Mainland 35, Egg Harbor Township 0
Matt Flynn threw his 45th & 46th career TD passes - a CAL record. Ryan Abdilla caught his 13th TD of the season, tying a CAL record. Chris Malick kicked his 82nd career extra point, another CAL record. And Hugh McLaughlin scored twice as the Mustangs won the Kiwanis Club Trophy. Mainland has won two straight and now leads the series, 13-9 (1 tie).
Absegami 21, Oakcrest 14
Mike Isgro threw his 42nd & 43rd career TD passes and also caught a touchdown. Mark Schenauer caught 2 TD passes, tying him for the CAL single-season record with 13 this year. Chuck Core & LaQuan Lee scored for Oakcrest. Absegami keeps possession of the Joe Mohr Memorial Trophy. It was Gami's 3rd straight win in the series but Oakcrest still leads, 16-14.
Lower Cape May 33, Middle Township 13
Lower ended Middle's two-year win streak in the series and reduced Middle's edge to 37-19. The Tigers get possession of the Anchor Trophy.
Holy Spirit 7, Atlantic City 0
Sophomore William Washington rushed for 173 yards and a 61-yard touchdown to give Spirit the win and possession of the John Boyd-Stan Marczyk Memorial Trophy. Atlantic City still leads the series, 48-25.
Pleasantville 28, Ocean City 27 OT
James Green kicked the game-winning extra point after Anthony Young ran for a TD in overtime, giving the Greyhounds possession of the Mike Slaveski-Bob Thomas Memorial Trophy for the next year. Ocean City QB Jordan Torroni & Pleasantville QB Na'im Lyons each scored once and threw a TD. The Raiders still lead the series, 40-38.
Millville 30, Vineland 22
The Thunderbolts rallied in the second half after trailing, 14-0, at halftime, scoring three times through the air. The win tied the series, 39-39, in games played since 1918.
Saturday November 26
St. Joseph 35, Hammonton 14
Jack Corcoran scored three times to increase his season total to 158 points, the 6th highest total in CAL history. The win clinched St. Joe's 13th CAL championship and was its 18th straight. Hammonton, which lost its last 3 games of the season, still leads the rivalry series, 23-20.
