Group 4: Absegami 28, Pennsauken 0
Mike Isgro scored twice and threw for another as Gami notched its 3rd straight shutout. Isgro lifted his season passing total to 2,118 yards, a new CAL record. The Braves will host Cherokee December 3rd for the South Jersey championship.
Class 2: St. Joseph 37, Bishop Eustace 7
The Wildcats will play for their 7th straight NJSIAA championship, on December 3rd in Hammonton. Jack Corcoran scored three times, lifting his point total to 140 this year, tying the school record. Ryan Simone scored a TD and passed for another.

Friday November 11
Group 4: Shawnee 35, Mainland 21
Matt Flynn threw for 312 yards & 3 TDs, setting a new CAL career record with 44 touchdown passes. Two of the passes were to Ryan Abdilla.
Group 4: Absegami 31, Southern 0
Mike Isgro threw for 284 yards & 3 TDs, two of them to Mark Schenauer.
Group 2: Point Pleasant Boro 20, Pleasantville 6
James Green ran 47 yards with a fumble to give the Greyhounds the early lead.
Consolation: Millville 38, Eastern 20
Charlie Patterson ran for 144 yards & 4 TDs. QB Tim Ahlquist passed for 119 yards & 2 TDs.

Breeon Cobbs rushed for 58 yards.

Waheed Smith hit Marvin Buie with a 47-yard TD pass.

Group 3: Pemberton 17, Hammonton 7
A.J. Helm scored 1st for the Devils but Pemberton scored 17 unanswered points.
Group 4: Pennsauken 25, Atlantic City 7
Marshall Jones ran for 83 yards & a TD but the Vikings were already trailing, 25-0.
Group 3: Lacey 17, Ocean City 14
A 20-yard field goal with five seconds left beat the Raiders. Dan Bonato returned a kickoff 81 yards for a score and A.J. Harris ran for the other. There were 7 turnovers in the game.
Class 3: Pope John-Sparta 31, Holy Spirit 12
The Spartans couldn't stop the state's leading scorer. Jeremy Tucker rushed for 164 yards & 3 TDs, giving him 36 this season. Zach Luckett scored one for Spirit & Billy Chafe threw the other.
Consolation: Cherry Hill East 26, Egg Harbor Township 6
Jim DeBenedictis threw a TD pass to Cedric Jeffries to open the scoring but that would be all for the Eagles.

Friday November 4
Absegami 33, Egg Harbor Township 0
Absegami clinched its first-ever outright conference championship. The Braves shared the title with Atlantic City in 2004. Mike Isgro threw for a pair of TDs as Gami broke away after leading by just 6-0 at the half.
Mainland 24, Vineland 0
Matt Flynn tied the CAL career record with his 40th & 41st touchdown pass, both to Ryan Abdilla. Flynn tied the record set by Spirit's Ed Byrnes. The win enabled the Mustangs to qualify for the Group 4 playoffs.
Millville 12, Atlantic City 7
Charlie Patterson ran for 136 yards & both TDs as the Bolts pulled a key upset. AC running back Marshall Jones missed most of the game with an injury.
Ocean City 27, Oakcrest 12
Jordan Torroni threw for 3 TDs & Dan Bonato tied a school record with a 92-yard TD run. The win earned OCHS a spot in the Group 3 playoffs.
Holy Spirit 48, Bridgeton 20
Sophomores Marcus Witherspoon & William Washington each scored twice as the Spartans made it six straight.
Lower Cape May 21, St. Augustine 12
Mike Albert scored twice and Matt Szczur returned an interception for a TD in the 4th quarter to kill a Prep drive that could have given it the lead.
Pleasantville 19, Middle Township 6
Scott Godfrey ran for 124 yards and a TD & Anthony Young gained 94 yards and scored twice. The win earned Pleasantville a spot in the Group 2 playoffs.
St. Joseph 60, Buena 7
Jack Corcoran scored 3 times and Charles Curcio got his 2nd punt return TD of the season as the Cats made it 15 straight & clinched the top seed in the Class 1 playoffs.

Friday October 28
Absegami 24, Ocean City 7
Mike Isgro threw for a pair of TDs and Gami forced a trio of Ocean City turnovers. Lineman Brandon Bullock (6-4, 316) scored a rushing TD for the Braves as a fullback.
Atlantic City 14, Mainland 11
Marshall Jones ran for one TD & Robert Cottman scored with an interception to rally the Vikings from a 3-0 deficit. Matt Flynn threw a TD, his 39th career touchdown pass, two away from Ed Byrnes' CAL record.
Egg Harbor Township 33, Vineland 12
Nick Borden threw 3 TD passes, 2 of them to Cedric Jeffries.
Millville 28, Oakcrest 6
Dale Parris & Terrence Brown each scored twice and Tim Ahlquist tossed 2 TD passes.
Holy Spirit 24, Hammonton 14
QB Bill Chafe ran for a pair of touchdowns as the Spartans held A.J. Helm to 40 yards and handed Hammonton its first loss. Mike Barone tossed a pair of TDs for the Devils.
Pleasantville 20, Bridgeton 13
The Greyhounds jumped out to a 20-0 lead on a pair of rushing TDs and Paul Moon's 2nd defensive touchdown of the season. Ed Cisrow threw 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter for the Bulldogs, who were eliminated from the Group 2 playoff picture with the loss.
St. Augustine 22, Middle Township 6 The Prep got its 1st win of the season as Kerry Ross threw to Brandon Jones for one score and two others came on the ground.
St. Joseph 47, Lower Cape May 0
Ryan Simone threw for 3 TDs with both Charles Curcio & Richard White each scoring twice. Jack Corcoran increased his season total to 104 points & his career total to 364 points with a rushing TD.

Friday October 21
Hammonton 31, Bridgeton 6
A.J. Helm ran for 109 yards & a TD and Matt Crescenzo scored with a fumble, the Devils' 8th defensive touchdown of the season.
Holy Spirit 28, Buena 0
Zach Luckett scored twice, one on an interception return, as the Spartans earned their 1st shutout since 2003.
Pleasantville 14, St. Augustine 8 OT
Paul Moon raced 95 yards with an interception to give the Greyhounds the overtime win. The Prep had tied the score in the 4th quarter on a 61 yard pass from Kerry Ross to Brandon Jones. The win improved Pleasantville's record to 3-0 all-time in overtime games, the best record among CAL schools.
Delsea 20, Millville 0
The undefeated Crusaders scored 3 rushing TDs and held Charlie Patterson to 31 yards. Millville played without QB-Safety Bryan Pfirman, who may be lost for the season with a shoulder injury.
Saturday October 22
Ramapo 38, Egg Harbor Township 14
Nick Borden connected with Cedric Jeffries on a 75-yard scoring play but, by that time, Ramapo had a 35-0 lead.
Sunday October 23
Absegami 28, Atlantic City 14
Mike Isgro ran for one 4th quarter TD to break a 14-14 tie, then sealed the win on a 69-yard TD pass that featured a lateral from Lee Jones to Steve Hevalow. Marshall Jones scored both TDs for the Vikings, who suffered their 1st defeat. The game had been scheduled for Saturday.
St. Joseph 54, Middle Township 0
Paul Sacco became the 1st CAL coach and just the 5th in South Jersey history to win 200 games. He finished the contest with a 200-42 record. Jack Corcoran scored 3 touchdowns to take the league scoring lead. The game was postponed from Saturday.
Monday October 24
Vineland 30, Lower Cape May 7
Breeon Cobbs ran for 120 yards & 2 TDs as The Clan ended its 9-game losing streak over two seasons. The game was postponed from Saturday.

Friday October 14
Absegami 26, Millville 20
Mike Isgro threw 2 TDs and scored another to rally the Braves from a 12-6 deficit in the 2nd quarter. Isgro finished 15 for 19 for 230 yards. Charlie Patterson ran for 99 yards & 2 Millville TDs.
Atlantic City 27, Vineland 7
Marshall Jones ran for 167 yards & 3 TDs, including a pair in the 4th quarter. Breeon Cobbs gained 113 yards for The Clan, which dropped its 9th straight over 2 seasons.
Egg Harbor Township 14, Ocean City 13
Pierre Reid ran for a 2-point conversion in the 3rd quarter after an OC penalty to create the margin of victory. It was EHT's 1st win of the season but its 5th straight over the Raiders.
Mainland 41, Oakcrest 20
Matt Flynn threw for 156 yards & 4 TDs, also running for 61 yards and another touchdown. Waheed Smith threw for 144 yards & 2 TDs for Oakcrest, one of the to starting QB Chuck Core, who also threw a TD in the 1st quarter.
Bridgeton 40, Buena 20
Sophomore Dominique Williams ran for 123 yards and scored twice on interception returns. QB Ed Cisrow threw for 2 TDs and scored another.
Holy Spirit 34, Lower Cape May 13
Zach Luckett ran for 117 yards & 2 Tds and Rob Mancinelli also scored twice, on a punt return and a pass from QB Billy Chafe (115 yards, 2 TDPs).
St. Joseph 56, St. Augustine 0
Jack Corcoran scored 4 TDs, one with an interception return, as the Wildcats stretched their win streak to 13 games.
Middle Township 13, St. Elizabeth DE 7
Brandon Edwards ran 27 yards for a 4th quarter TD to give Middle its 1st win of the season.

A.J. Helm ran for 150 yards & a TD and A.J. Gonzalez scored with a fumble, the Blue Devils' 7th defensive TD of the season.

Mike Isgro threw 2 TDs to Mark Schenauer and Steve Hevalow rushed for 220 yards & 2 TDs.
Atlantic City 27, Egg Harbor Township 0
Marshall Jones ran for 154 yards and a TD.
Oakcrest 9, Vineland 7
A third quarter safety was the difference, Bryan Gates making the tackle in the end zone. Breeon Cobbs scored for Vineland, LaQuan Lee for the Falcons.
Ocean City 48, Millville 19
Jordan Torroni scored twice and was 8-for-8 passing for 172 yards and another TD.
Hammonton 41, Buena 7
A.J. Helm ran for 220 yards and 4 TDs.
Holy Spirit 20, Middle Township 6
Billy Chafe scored one TD and passed for another. Zach Luckett ran for 130 yards and a TD.
Lower Cape May 25, Bridgeton 20
Matt Szczur ran for 188 yards and 3 TDs to help Lower to a 25-0 lead. Bridgeton rallied behind QB Ed Cisrow (151 yards, 2 TDPs).

Jack Corcoran rushed for 113 yards and all 4 TDs.

Mike Isgro threw for 253 yards & 3 TDs, two of them to Mark Schenauer. Steve Hevalow rushed for 87 yards & 2 TDs.
Mainland 38, Ocean City 21
The Mustangs took advantage of 3 turnovers in the 1st quarter by OC, opening a 21-0 lead. Hugh McLaughlin ran for 2 TDs & intercepted a pass. Matt Flynn threw for 227 yards & 2 TDs. A.J. Harris scored twice for the Raiders, both on passes from Jordan Torroni, who threw for 189 yards.
Millville 12, Egg Harbor Township 6
Anthony Brown and Charlie Patterson scored first half TDs, Patterson rushing for 179 yards. Jarid Ragin scored for EHT in the 4th quarter.
Bridgeton 22, Middle Township 0
James Cobb ran for 152 yards but did not score. Three different players scored TDs for the Bulldogs, who dedicated the game to their team doctor of 32 years, Frank Brigio, who died earlier in the week.
Hammonton 45, Lower Cape May 13
A.J. Helm scored 5 times, twice on fumble recoveries. QB Mike Barone threw for 191 yards & a TD. Matt Szczur returned a kickoff 84 yards for a Caper TD.
Holy Spirit 40, St. Augustine 6
Zack Luckett & Marcus Witherspoon each scored twice as the Spartans gained over 400 yards on the ground. They also recovered four Prep fumbles.
Pleasantville 7, Buena 0
Junior Scott Godfrey scored a 2nd quarter TD as the Greyhounds notched their 1st win with the upset.

Marshall Jones ran for 78 yards & a TD. The Viking defense limited the Falcon running game to 70 yards.

Friday September 23
Atlantic City 21, Ocean City 14
Marshall Jones scored twice for the Vikings, who intercepted 3 Ocean City passes. QB Bruce Harris threw a TD to speedster Lindsey Shannon but was later hurt. Dan Bonato returned a punt for one OC touchdown.
Bridgeton 13, St. Augustine 12
Gil Anderson caught a TD pass from Ed Cisrow in the final 30 seconds and Dominique Williams kicked the game-winning point.
Buena 26, Lower Cape May 6
QB Dennis Ehret threw 2 touchdowns and scored another as the Chiefs pulled away after a 7-6 first half.
Hammonton 41, Middle Township 0
A.J. Helm ran for 208 yards & 2 TDs and Mike Barone threw a pair of touchdowns.
Episcopal Academy PA 20, Mainland 14
Matt Flynn threw a pair of 4th quarter TDs to Ryan Abdulla but it wasn't enough. The Mustangs' 5-game win streak ended to their Inter-Ac opponents.
Kingsway 23, Vineland 7
The Clan fell behind, 21-0, at halftime but scored on a Robert Clark run in the third.
Williamstown 8, Oakcrest 5
Mike Belfonti's 3rd field goal of the season gave the Falcons a 5-0 lead but Mark Masterson ran 68 yards for the Braves' winning TD in the 4th quarter.

Ryan Simone threw for 269 yards & 3 TDs, Charles Curcio scored 3 times, twice from Simone.

Friday September 16
Mainland 38, Millville 22
Matt Flynn threw for 195 yards & 5 TDs, three to Ryan Abdilla and two to K.J. Borlandoe, to spark the win. Charlie Patterson ran for 187 yards and a TD as Millville gained 300 yards on the ground.
Oakcrest 21, Egg Harbor Township 14
FB LaQuan Lee and QB Chuck Core combined for 346 yards rushing and each scored a touchdown. Pierre Reid ran for 103 yards and scored both EHT touchdowns. The Falcons have not been 2-0 since 1998.
Ocean City 29, Vineland 22
George Coccodrilli gained 133 yards and A.J. Harris added 100, each scoring twice for the Raiders. Key defensive plays for OC included a blocked field goal by Corey McDaniels & an interception by Skooter Williams. Breeon Cobb gained 188 yards & scored twice for The Clan.
Buena 21, Middle Township 7
QB Dennis Ehret ran for 105 yards & two TDs, also passing for 66 yards. Kyle Smedberg passed for 155 yards & Middle's only TD.
Lower Cape May 13, Pleasantville 0
Matt Szczur ran for 128 yards & a TD, also tossed a 75-yard TD to John Amenhauser, as the Tigers ended their 9-game losing streak.
St. Joseph 54, Bridgeton 0
Jack Corcoran & Richard White each scored twice and Kyle Stever kicked 6 extra points and a 23-yard field goal for St. Joe's 10th straight win.
Saturday September 17
Hammonton 48, St. Augustine 0
A.J. Helm ran for 89 yards & a pair of TDs. The Devils limited The Prep to 6 yards of total offense.
Absegami 35, Father Judge PA 7
Steve Hevalow ran for 196 yards & a TD, Keith Nelson scored twice and Mike Isgro threw one TD and scored another. The game was held up for more than an hour by a lightning storm.
Atlantic City 28, Lawrenceville Prep 7
Marshall Jones ran for 60 yards & 3 TDs. QB Bruce Harris ran for 66 yards & scored once.

Friday September 9
Holy Spirit 20, Pleasantville 6
The Spartans scored twice on fumble recoveries and the other on a TD pass from this year's QB, Billy Chafe, to last year's QB, Gabe Guerrieri, who has been moved to wide receiver. QB Anthony Young passed for 136 yards and the Greyhounds lone TD.
Hammonton 20, Egg Harbor Township 16
Matt Crescenzo's 5-yard run late in the third quarter pulled the Devils from behind. QB Mike Barone threw for 159 yards and ran for one TD.
Millville 34, Buena 21
Charlie Patterson romped for 293 yards on 21 carries and scored 3 times for the Thunderbolts. Buena QB Dennis Ehret passed for 99 yards and ran for 78.
Oakcrest 22, St. Augustine 0
LaQuan Lee ran for 147 yards, including a 99-yard TD run in the third quarter. QB Chuck Core ran for 86 more yards.
Ocean City 41, Bridgeton 12
A.J. Harris scored twice, including a 71-yard pass from Jordan Torroni, and George Coccodrilli gained 138 yards on 24 carries.
Saturday September 10
St. Joseph 35, Absegami 31
The Wildcats used 4th quarter TDs by Jack Corcoran & Richard White to rally for the win. Both Corcoran & White scored twice and QB Ryan Simone threw for 179 yards & 3 TDs. Gami QB Mike Isgro threw for 215 yards and a TD and Steve Hevalow ran for 92 yards and three scores.
Mainland 27, Montclair 13
After Montclair took the lead by returning the opening kickoff for a TD, the Mustangs took control with Matt Flynn hitting Ryan Abdilla for two touchdowns. Flynn threw for 182 yards.
