The Sports Team
Other Members

Terry Bradway is the best known of our former Sports Team members. He was with us from 1981 through 1985. He later became athletics director at Middle Township. From there, he began scouting for USFL and NFL teams - working for the Philadelphia Stars, New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs - before becoming general manager of the New York Jets.

Bob Derbyshire was part of our Sports Team from 1981 through 1985. An outstanding athlete at Atlantic City High School and former coach at Holy Spirit, "Derb" has been involved in sports at all levels in South Jersey. He has been the voice of the Battle by the Bay at ACHS and has handled announcing duties for the NJSIAA and Atlantic City Seagulls. He is expected to kick off his campaign for governor very soon.

Roger Hendler is one of New Jersey's most active sports personalities, providing color analysis of Drexel women's basketball and other radio and TV broadcasts. He is deeply involved in sports in Mercer County, once co-hosting a radio show with Eagles' star Troy Vincent. Roger is best known in the Atlantic City area for his live Mike Schmidt home run call during a report from the Vet on one of our Sports Team shows. He became close friends with former NFL star Johnny Sample a year or so before his death.

Chuck Hill was part of our Sports Team from 1979 until his sudden death in 1984. He had a passion for boxing and his frequent interviews with Don King and George Foreman were among the most exciting we've ever broadcast. Chuck was also a big fan of basketball at his alma mater, Pleasantville High School, where he once played for the legendary Ken Leary.

Carmen Infante was part of our Sports Team from 1988 through 1997, primarily serving as a football analyst. A former quarterback for the University of Delaware, he was a high school coach in Delaware and at Absegami High School. He was also the first athletics director at Egg Harbor Township High School and is currently an administrator in that school district. Known as "The Italian Stallion".

Luci Jones was part of our Sports Team from 1997 through 2001, when the Man from Iowa went gospel. Luci actually started her sports radio career as a reporter on another South Jersey station. It soon became obvious to all that she was the best broadcaster on that show. She quickly moved into television, hosting her own nightly show. A hard-working reporter who has been known to attend three games in one day, Luci also is a sports talk host on WIP in Philadelphia.

Alex Konick was part of our Sports Team from 1989 through 1996, primarily as a football analyst. His cable TV interviews with the late Ed Byrnes were classics. A former football coach at Bridgeton and Egg Harbor Township, Alex was responsible for the pastry at our annual Thanksgiving High School Football Show. Working as an executive with a major leasing company, he recently passed the 25-million mark in frequent flyer miles.

Frank Lotierzo was part of our Sports Team from 1997 through 2001, but then declined to join the Man from Iowa's gospel choir. Frank is one of the most knowledgeable boxing analysts in New Jersey and has written for a number of print and on-line sources. But his knowledge is not limited to boxing. Frank can quote statistics and results from decades ago and spin them, if necessary, to support his strong opinions. A former boxer himself, he spends a lot of his free time on his yacht - "The Scotty P".

Dean Michalski was the weekend sports anchor at NBC-TV40 when he joined our Sports Team in 1997. With valuable advice from Steve Parker, he quickly moved up to become the station's sports director. A graduate of Rancocas Valley and Penn State, two schools that used to have football teams, Dean recently became a Sports Producer for WCAU-TV, the NBC-owned station in Philadelphia. He had been a producer with Comcast SportsNet, where his primary job was to hold the mirror for Leslie Gudel.

Check out this example of Dean's college sportswriting from the NCAA Hall of Fame.
