FLORIDA '82
This was The Young Entertainers first trip to Florida and the only one that
did not include performances.
Nine people drove to the Orlando area during the Easter break and met Tom Williams, who
had been in Florida covering the Phillies in Spring Training, at the Hyatt World Hotel, just
outside the main road to Walt Disney World.
The nine included John Allegretto, Brian Conover, Sharon D'Andrea, Tom Daning,
Julie Johnson, Susan McClain and Pat Orlando, along with chaperones Carol D'Andrea and
Dee McClain.
The group not only visited the Disney park but other attractions in the area. They also found
time to short-sheet beds, Vaseline doorknobs and plant rubber spiders.
The Hyatt Hotel Corporation sold this hotel soon afterward but it probably had nothing to do
with the practical jokes initiated during our visit.
