Tom is a retired educator who once coached high school basketball and played football in high school. A longtime sports broadcaster in South Jersey, he and his family are deeply involved in the community and that involvement has found Tom running successfully for a number of political offices. His wife, Eleanor, is a retired school nurse. Their daughter, Sarah, was a successful diver and party organizer in college and their son, Mark, is a former ski champion and high school crew star. For more than a decade, Tom found time every year to attend the Big East Basketball Tournament in New York. He now spends half the year at his estate in Florida.
