Wrestling (6-10) defeated Holy Cross, 43-28
Wrestling (6-11) lost to Lenape, 66-6
Wrestling (6-12) lost to Pemberton, 37-30
Anthony DeSantis notched three wins on the day - decisions against Lenape and Pemberton and a forfeit win against Holy Cross.
Boys Basketball (5-11) lost to Collingswood, 68-56
Matt Whitworth scored 19 points while Connor Ortolf (12) and Tom Ballezzi (11) each had career-high point totals. But Collingswood got 24 points and 6 assists from Tyrone Mann-Barnes and outscored the Raiders, 32-4, in the paint.
Boys Swimming (6-3) at SJ Coaches Invitational (GCIT)
Jason Marks won the 200 meter freestyle and Shawn Bryan was second in the 100 freestyle.
Friday, January 30th
Indoor Track at Millrose Games NY
Senior Brett Johnson finished 2nd in the prestigious Millrose High School Mile at Madison Square Garden.
Thursday, January 29th
Girls Basketball (14-1) defeated Millville, 60-16
Kelly Brady poured in 23 points in OC's 11th straight win. The Raiders led, 23-4, after one quarter.
Boys Basketball (5-10) lost to Millville, 58-49
Matt Whitworth scored 20 points and Chris Curran added 10. But the Thunderbolts had three in double figures and outscored the Raiders, 40-28, in the paint.
Tuesday, January 27th
Boys Basketball (5-9) lost to St. Augustine, 65-47
OCHS dominated the third quarter and cut the lead to four early in the fourth period before The Prep took over down the stretch. Matt Whitworth had 21 points and 7 rebounds for the Raiders.
Monday, January 26th
Girls Basketball (13-1) defeated Middle Township, 62-38
Abby Logan, who played the first 3 years of her career at Middle, made her first 9 shots and finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Kelly Brady had 20 points and 9 boards with Kelsey Boylan getting 14 points. Sarah Gibbs had 7 points and 10 assists.
Saturday, January 24th
Boys Swimming (6-3) defeated Cape May Tech, 113-56
Jason Marks, Tyler Merrill, Shawn Bryan and John Vogel each won one event and were part of two relay wins.
Girls Swimming (6-5) defeated Cape May Tech, 114-54
Kelly McCarthy won the 400 freestyle and Jocelyn Stevens won the diving competition.
Boys Basketball (5-8) lost to Middle Township, 48-40
Chris Curran scored a career-high 23 points but the Raiders' rally fell short. Ocean City shot only one free throw in the game.
Wrestling (4-10) defeated Atlantic City, 63-9
Wrestling (5-10) defeated Holy Spirit, 63-15
Coley O'Brien, Zach Trout and Derek Webber each registered a pair of pins in the tri-match.
Thursday, January 22nd
Girls Basketball (12-1) defeated Hammonton, 64-21
Shannon Lane scored 12 points, including a pair of three-pointers. Meredith Schoyer and Reilly Larkin each scored 10.
Boys Basketball (5-7) defeated Hammonton, 38-35
Tom Ballezzi scored the final three points of the game to break a 35-35 tie. Matt Whitworth scored 18 points, including a trio of three-pointers.
Wrestling (3-10) defeated Pitman, 46-34
Dan Pettit and Matt Terry each registered first-period pins as OCHS won its third straight.
Wednesday, January 21st
Boys Swimming (5-3) defeated Vineland, 96-87
Jason Marks won the 200 meter freestyle, the 100 breaststroke and was part of two winning relay teams.
Girls Swimming (5-5) lost to Vineland, 125-61
Kelly McCarthy won the 400 freestyle and Jocelyn Stevens won the diving competition.
Tuesday, January 20th
Girls Basketball (11-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 69-36
Kelsey Boylan had 14 points and eight assists, Kelly Brady had 12 points and eight rebounds and Shannon Lane - returning from a four-game injury - scored 11.
Boys Basketball (4-7) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 45-38
Chris Curran scored 17 points, Matt Whitworth had 11 points and nine rebounds and Tyler Reich scored seven points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Sunday, January 18th
Cougar Classic at Cherry Hill East:
Girls Basketball (10-1) defeated Williamstown, 62-53
Kelly Brady scored 29 points and Abby Logan added 13. Brady added nine rebounds and Kelsey Boylan made eight assists.
Saturday, January 17th
Boys Basketball (3-7) defeated Triton, 59-52
Matt Whitworth and Chris Curran each scored 17 points with sophomore Tom Ballezzi getting 11 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Tyler Reich grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked three shots. The Raiders made 14 of 18 free throws in the final three minutes.
Blue Devil Duals at Hammonton:
Wrestling (0-10) lost to Cherry Hill East, 57-22
Wrestling (1-10) defeated Riverside, 63-12
Wrestling (2-10) defeated Penns Grove, 46-30
Anthony DeSantis and Matt Terry each had three pins on the day as the Raiders registered their first two victories.
Friday, January 16th
Girls Swimming (5-4) defeated Absegami, 134-50
Kelly McCarthy won the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Boys Swimming (4-3) defeated Absegami, 112-68
John Vogel and Shawn Bryan each won two events and team up on a pair of winning relay teams.
Thursday, January 15th
Girls Basketball (9-1) defeated Mainland, 70-32
Kelly Brady had another big game, notching a triple-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. The Raiders outscored Mainland, 31-12, in the second quarter.
Boys Basketball (2-7) lost to Mainland, 54-42
Matt Whitworth scored 14 points in the first half but only got one shot in the second half when he was hounded by Mike Shaughnessy. Chris Curran added 13 points, three steals and four assists.
Wednesday, January 14th
Boys Swimming (3-3) defeated Millville, 57-33
Jason Marks won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.
Girls Swimming (4-4) defeated Millville, 66-28
Kelly McCarthy won the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and was part of two winning relay teams.
Wrestling (0-9) lost to Mainland, 42-30
Vince DeSantis, Jacob Terry and Matt Terry registered consecutive pins for the Raiders.
Tuesday, January 13th
Girls Basketball (8-1) defeated Atlantic City, 65-46
With Liz Ker lost for the season with a torn ACL and Shannon Lane nursing an ankle injury, Kelly Brady stepped up with 23 points and 17 rebounds.
Boys Basketball (2-6) lost to Atlantic City, 69-53
Matt Whitworth scored 21 points and Chris Curran added 16. The Raiders cut the lead to nine points early in the fourth quarter but the Vikings' Umar Shannon made four straight three-pointers.
Monday, January 12th
Girls Swimming (3-4) lost to Holy Spirit, 123-63
Kelly McCarthy won the 100 butterfly.
Boys Swimming (2-3) lost to Holy Spirit, 111-71
Kyle Everson won the 500 freestyle and Jason Marks was first in the 100 breaststroke.
Wrestling (0-8) lost to Neptune, 38-31
Pins by Dan Wilson and Zack Trout helped OCHS rally from a 33-3 deficit.
Saturday, January 10th
Wrestling (0-5) lost to Lower Cape May, 54-22
Wrestling (0-6) lost to Middle Township, 42-33
Wrestling (0-7) lost to Gateway, 46-28
Matt Terry had a trio of first-period pins and Anthony DeSantis also won three times.
Indoor Track at New York Armory
Brett Johnson finished second in the invitational mile during the Hispanic Games. It was Johnson's first indoor track competition.
Thursday, January 8th
Girls Basketball (7-1) defeated Absegami, 54-42
Sarah Gibbs led three OCHS players in double figures with 14 points. Kelsey Boylan added 12 and Kelly Brady 10. Liz Ker left the game with a knee injury.
Boys Basketball (2-5) lost to Absegami, 51-46
Chris Curran scored 13 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, made 3 steals and had 3 assists. But the Raiders struggled shooting the ball, making 38 percent.
Wednesday, January 7th
Girls Swimming (3-3) defeated Wildwood Catholic, 97-86
Kelly McCarthy won the 100 butterfly, Emily Newman the 100 freestyle and Carly Shepard won the diving as the Raiders succeeded on overall depth.
Wrestling (0-4) lost to Absegami, 55-24
Matt Terry, Bobby DeLuce, Lucas Pearson and Vince DeSantis each registered pins.
Tuesday, January 6th
Girls Basketball (6-1) defeated Vineland, 54-39
Kelly Brady scored 19 points, including 9 of 10 from the foul line. After a 12-12 first quarter, the Raiders took control with a 16-1 advantage in the second period. Shannon Lane added 11.
Boys Basketball (2-4) lost to Vineland, 50-46
Matt Whitworth scored 20 points, including six three-pointers for the second straight game, but The Clan outscored the Raiders, 22-8, off turnovers.
Monday, January 5th
Boys Swimming (2-2) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 108-75
Shawn Bryan won twice and was part of a winning relay team.
Girls Swimming (2-3) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 123-63
Kelly McCarthy won the 100 butterfly.
Saturday, January 3rd
Girls Basketball (5-1) defeated Lower Cape May, 64-24
Shannon Lane scored 21 points, including a trio of three-pointers, and Kelly Brady added 20 in this meeting of last year's two South Jersey Group 3 finalists.
Wrestling (0-1) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 52-23
Wrestling (0-2) lost to Millville, 42-32
Wrestling (0-3) lost to Rancocas Valley, 61-15
Richard Dougherty won his three matches at 130 pounds.

Boardwalk Basketball Classic at Wildwoods Convention Center:
Boys Basketball (2-3) lost to Wildwood, 64-58
Matt Whitworth scored 27 points, including six three-pointers, but it wasn't enough against the red-hot Warriors, who shot 58 percent from the field, 62 percent from three-point range.
Tuesday, December 30th
Wrestling (0-0) at Art Marinelli Tournament (EHT)
Richard Dougherty was 4th at 130 pounds and Vince DeSantis was 4th at 145.
Boardwalk Basketball Classic at Wildwoods Convention Center:
Boys Basketball (2-2) defeated Sacred Heart, 71-53
Matt Whitworth scored 24 points and Chris Curran added 21. Connor Ortolf had five steals and six assists.
Monday, December 29th
Boardwalk Basketball Classic at Wildwoods Convention Center:
Girls Basketball (4-1) defeated Methacton PA, 48-42 OT
Shannon Lane and Kelsey Boylan combined to score the first six points of overtime. Lane had 14 points with Meredith Schoyer gett 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Gibbs had seven steals and four assists.
Sunday, December 28th
Boardwalk Basketball Classic at Wildwoods Convention Center:
Girls Basketball (3-1) lost to Council Rock North PA, 59-51 OT
Shannon Lane had 14 points, Abby Logan 12 and Kelly Brady 10. Council Rock North hit a three-pointer in the final five seconds to send the game into overtime and then scored the first eight points in the extra period.
Tuesday, December 23rd
Girls Basketball (3-0) defeated Oakcrest, 65-19
Meredith Schoyer led OCHS with 14 points, Liz Ker and Kelly Brady each added 10.
Boys Basketball (1-2) defeated Oakcrest, 44-39 OT
Matt Whitworth and Chris Curran each scored 14 points. Whitworth hit a three with 1:46 left in regulation to tie the game. Curran scored four points in overtime, including the final three.
Saturday, December 20th
Ocean City PBA Tipoff Weekend at Dixie Howell Gym:
Girls Basketball (2-0) defeated Willingboro, 66-36
Kelly Brady had 19 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and five assists. Shannon Lane had 18 points and 11 boards. The Raiders pulled away with a 36-10 second half advantage.
Boys Basketball (0-2) lost to Lower Cape May, 51-46
Chris Curran scored 21 points on 9-for-18 shooting.
Wrestling (0-0) finished 6th at Pioneer Tournament (Clearview)
Blakely Faunce was 2nd at 119 pounds.

Kelly Brady had 17 points, eight rebounds, six steals and three assists.
Boys Basketball (0-1) lost to Millville, 68-45
Matt Whitworth scored 16 points, including four three-pointers. Millville had a 21-4 advantage in points off turnovers and a 40-14 margin in points scored in the paint.

Kyle Everson won twice and joined in a relay win.

Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships (San Diego)
Brett Johnson battled a foot injury and finished 40th in the prestigious race. Johnson joins Ocean City graduate Brittany Sedberry as the only two CAL runners to qualify for the national race.
