Michelle McKinley and Casey Harper each scored four times and Casey Beyel
added three.
Baseball (3-7) lost to Lower Cape May, 16-12
Adam Lauer and Colton Ortolf both had two hits, including a two-run homer
for each. The loss ended OC's three-game win streak.
Softball (2-7) lost to Middle Township, 10-4
Gina Favinger had a double for the Raiders, who trailed, 5-4, after five.
Boys Lacrosse (1-4) lost to Vineland, 3-2 2OT
John Duffy and Drew Jankowski both scored in the 4th quarter to send the
game into overtime. Vineland scored the game-winner with less than a minute remaining.
Boys Tennis (1-6) lost to Atlantic City, 3-2
Freshman Dan Barrus improved his record to 7-3 with a straight-set win at
No. 1 singles, qualifying for the NJSIAA Singles Tournament.
Saturday, April 28th
Girls Crew at NJ State Championships (Camden)
The OCHS varsity four team of Amy Shrader, Danielle Brady, Colleen Smith, Shawnee
Foglio and coxswain Nicole DeCredico won the state championship.
Boys Track (3-2) at Penn Relays (Philadelphia)
The Raiders' 4x400 meter relay team (Ryan Birchmeier, Tim Nickas, John Fennekohl,
Brett Johnson) ran 3:47.38 and finished 12th in its heat.
Baseball (3-6) at Lower Cape May, 15-9 - Postponed until May 22
Sophomore Vinny Murphy had a big day - a home run, 2 doubles, a single and 4
RBIs - as the Raiders pounded out 18 hits and were error-free in winning their third straight.
Colton Ortolf was the winning pitcher. D.J. Menchaca tripled and Corey McDaniels doubled.
Softball (2-6) defeated Lower Cape May, 3-1
OCHS ended its 6-game losing streak when Jessica Thornton broke a 1-1 tied
with an RBI single in the 5th. Karin Olson singled and scored the winning run in the 6th.
Gina Favinger struck out 9 and pitched a 3-hitter for the win.

Coed Golf (7-3) defeated Oakcrest, 161-172
Kevin McCarthy shot a 39, Matt Galownia carded a 40 and both Justin Heckler
and Elisa Mateer got 41s at Greate Bay.
Boys Track (3-2) lost to Absegami, 80-60
Jason Gihorski doubled (shot put-javelin) and the trio of Ryan Birchmeier,
Brett Johnson and John Fennekohl swept the distance events but it was not enough.
Girls Track (3-2) at Penn Relays (Philadelphia)
The Raiders' 4x400 meter relay team (Kayla Ghanavati, Katie Birchmeier,
Kelsey Greene, Katie Corson) ran 4:09.00 to finish 2nd in its heat to Valley Central (NY)
High School by less than a second.
Baseball (2-6) defeated Oakcrest, 9-8
Corey McDaniels doubled home two runs then scored the tying run in the
bottom of the 6th. The winning run scored on a throwing error.
Boys Tennis (1-5) lost to Mainland, 3-2
Dan Barrus won at No. 1 singles and Randy Kohr won at No. 3, both in straight sets.
The loss eliminated OCHS from Group 3 contention.
Softball (1-6) lost to Oakcrest, 10-0 (5 innings)
The Raiders failed to get a hit off Renecca Turygan. She lost her perfect game
with a one-out walk in the 5th.

Girls Lacrosse (7-1) lost to Camden Catholic, 14-6
Colleen Netherby scored 3 goals and Casey Beyel added 2.
Boys Lacrosse (1-3) lost to St. Augustine, 15-1
OCHS fell behind, 11-0, at halftime.

Dan Barrus lost his quarterfinal match to Chas Berenato of St. Augustine.

Boys Tennis (1-4) at CAL Tournament (Vineland)
Freshman Dan Barrus won his first two matches in straight sets over
players from Middle Township and Holy Spirit to reach the quarterfinals.
Boys Track (3-1) defeated Atlantic City, 84-56
Jason Gihorski (shot-javelin) and Brett Johnson (1600-high jump) were
double winners for OCHS.
Coed Golf (5-3) defeated Millville, 170-201
Coed Golf (6-3) defeated Cape May Tech, 170-187
Kevin McCarthy and Justin Heckler each shot 42 at Greate Bay to spark
the Raider sweep.
Girls Track (3-2) defeated Atlantic City, 102-38
Kayla Ghanavati won three events to spark an easy team victory.
Softball (1-5) lost to Millville, 2-1 (9 Innings)
The Raiders sent the game into extra innings with a run in the 7th. Gina
Favinger struck out seven and allowed seven hits.
Baseball (1-6) defeated Millville, 5-2
Ryan Beebe's two-run homer in the sixth started a 4-run rally and led to OC's
first win this season. Chris Harris pitched a 5-hitter.
Monday, April 23rd
Coed Golf (4-3) at Red Devil Girls Invitational
Junior Elisa Mateer shot a 78 and won the individual championship at the 4th
annual tournament. More than 50 girls entered from 27 different schools. Host Hunterdon
Central was the team champion.
Girls Lacrosse (7-0) defeated Mainland, 10-5
Casey Beyel scored 6 goals and Colleen Netherby added 3.
Coed Golf (4-3) defeated Hammonton, 166-181
Kevin McCarthy shot a two-over 37 at Greate Bay, the low round by a Raider
this season. Matt Galownia and Justin Heckler each shot a 41.
Boys Lacrosse (1-2) lost to Mainland, 11-4
Frank Unger scored 3 times.
Boys Tennis (1-4) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
The Raiders did not win a set against the highly-ranked Eagles.

Crew at Manny Flick Regatta (Philadelphia)
The varsity four team of Amy Shrader, Danielle Brady, Colleen Smith, Shawnee
Foglio and coxswain Nicole DeCredico won its heat. So did the junior eight boat of Alexa Antonioli,
Aries Dupont-Town, Kiersten Stephens, Kelsey Garbutt, Alexa Zauck, Catherine Dierolf, Alexandra
Russo, Kate Gallagher and coxswain Chelsea Gentilini.
Saturday, April 21st
Girls Lacrosse (6-0) vs Millville, 16-2
Caitlin Harney and Colleen Netherby each scored three goals.
Boys Track (2-1) finished 5th at Woodbury Relays (West Deptford)
Brett Johnson, Connor Martin, Ryan Birchmeier and John Fennekohl won the
distance medley. Johnson, Birchmeier, Fennekohl and Billy Moreland won the 4x800 relay.
Girls Track (2-2) finished 5th at Woodbury Relays (West Deptford)
The Raiders finished in the top five in five different events.

The Raiders fell behind, 5-0, in the first and committed 9 errors.

Girls Lacrosse (5-0) defeated Middle Township, 16-4
Casey Harper scored four times, Casey Beyel and Colleen Netherby three each.
Coed Golf (3-3) defeated Atlantic City, 162-165
Matt Galownia and Rob Kimball each shot a 39 at Brigantine Beach.
Softball (1-3) lost to Atlantic City, 14-4 (6 innings)
Natalie Chamberlain had a triple, a single and 2 RBIs. The Raiders made 6 errors.
Boys Tennis (1-3) lost to Vineland, 3-2
Dan Barrus rallied to win a three-setter at No. 1 and Joe Petrini did the same
at No. 3.
Baseball (0-6) lost to Atlantic City, 9-4
Colton Ortolf collected four singles for the Raiders. OC pitchers allowed
just 3 hits but had to deal with 10 walks and 4 errors.
Thursday, April 19th
Boys Track (2-0) defeated Mainland, 88-52
Boys Track (2-1) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 96-44
Brett Johnson swept the 1600 meters, John Fennekohl the 3200 and Steel Nugent
the pole vault in the tri-meet at Mainland.
Girls Track (2-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 97-42
Girls Track (2-2) lost to Mainland, 76-64
Kayla Ghanavati continued her impressive performances, sweeping the 100 meters, 200
and triple jump in the tri-meet at EHT. She set a new school record (35-5) in the triple jump.

Rebecca Olandt earned the shutout.
Boys Lacrosse (1-1) defeated St. Joseph, 8-6
John Duffy and Drew Jankowski each scored three times as OCHS earned its first-ever boys
lacrosse win.
Coed Golf (2-3) lost to Mainland, 157-173
Matt Galownia shot a 40 and Justin Heckler a 41.
Softball (1-2) lost to Mainland, 4-1
Natalie Chamberlain smacked a double for the Raiders.

Coed Golf (2-2) defeated Middle Township, 167-187
Matt Galownia shot a 38, including a pair of birdies, at Avalon.
Kevin McCarthy and Justin Heckler followed with 41s.
Girls Track (1-1) defeated Absegami, 79-52
Kayla Ghanavati had a perfect day. She won the 100 meters, 200,
triple jump and led off on the victorious 4x400 relay team. Anna Ceniccola won
both the 800 and 1600 and Melissa Terwilliger swept the hurdles.

Melissa Terwilliger, Jordan Ipolito and Shannon Greene won the
3x400 hurdles. And Kendall Davis, Kelsey Greene, Erica Adams and Kayla Ghanavati
won the 4x200.

Zach Farnsworth drove home Corey McDaniels with a single in the
first by the Raiders would not score again.
Friday, April 13th
Girls Lacrosse (2-0) defeated West Deptford, 10-8
Casey Beyel scored six times to help the Raiders rally from a 3-0
deficit.
Boys Tennis (0-2) lost to Oakcrest, 4-1
Freshman Dan Barrus was a 6-0,6-0 winner at No. 1 singles.
Baseball (0-3) lost to Absegami, 8-4
Zach Farnsworth and Colin Norton each doubled among the five hits
by OCHS.

Boys Track (1-0) at Buena Relays
The shorthanded Raiders finished 4th in the distance medley, 4th
in the discus and 5th in the 4x800.
Girls Track (0-1) at Buena Relays
The Raiders scored more points on the track than any of the large
schools. They won the 2x400 meter shuttle hurdles, the 4x100 meter relay and
the 4x200.
Saturday, April 7th
Boys Crew at St. Andrews (DE) Regatta
The Raider varsity eight finished third, behind Holy Spirit and
St. Andrews. But OCHS finished first in the second eight, third eight and fourth
eight races.
Thursday, April 5th
Coed Golf (1-1) defeated Hammonton, 183-191
Kevin McCarthy shot 44 with Justin Heckler and Rob Kimball each
getting a 45 at Pinelands.
Softball (1-1) lost to Hammonton, 11-0 (6 innings)
Natalie Chamberlain's leadoff single in the 4th was OC's only hit.
Baseball (0-2) lost to Hammonton, 13-12
OCHS scored the final eight runs of the game after trailing, 13-4,
but just fell short. Zach Farnsworth had a double and single, driving home three.
D.J. Menchaca and Corey McDaniels each tripled. The Raiders trailed, 8-2, after
two innings.

Matt Graham swept the hurdles, Jason Gihorski won the shot put and javelin
and the Raiders swept the four distance events.
Coed Golf (0-1) lost to Oakcrest, 165-176
Kevin McCarthy shot 42 and Matt Galownia 44 at Blue Heron Pines.
Girls Track (0-1) lost to Millville, 81-59
Kayla Ghanavati won the 100 and the triple jump and was part of the
winning 4x100 relay team. Ali Decredico set a new school record with a 9-6 pole vault.
Monday, April 2nd
Girls Lacrosse (1-0) defeated Lower Cape May, 14-2
Colleen Netherby scored five times with Casey Beyel and Caitlin Harper each
getting three goals.
Softball (1-0) defeated Oakcrest, 7-6
Kathleen Kleva's walk-off single drove home Natalie Chamberlain with the
tying run and Lauren Smith win the winning run. OC had led, 5-0, entering the last inning
when Oakcrest scored six times, only to lose on Kleva's hit. Smith was the winning pitcher,
striking our four, walking three and allowing just seven hits. She also was 4 for 4 at the
plate.
Baseball (0-1) lost to Oakcrest, 8-5
D.J. Menchaca had a double and single and Keenan McPeak had a pair of singles.
Oakcrest broke open a 4-4 game with three runs in the fourth. Chris Byers fanned eight for
the Raiders.
Boys Lacrosse (0-1) lost to Lower Cape May, 7-2
Josh Crego and Andrew Jankowski scored for the Raiders in the school's
first-ever boys lacrosse game.
Boys Tennis (0-1) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
Freshman Dan Barrus lost to Keith Goldstein, 6-4,6-0, at No. 1
singles. Barrus is the first freshman in 22 years to start the season at No. 1
for OCHS. Goldstein was the CAL champion last year and is one of the best in the state.

Crew in Manny Flick Regatta
The boys and girls varsity eight each won its heat in the
Philadelphia competition. The boys boat comprised Matt Newsome, Alex Forsman, Nick Deckard,
Josh Murphy, Tyler Huck, Tyler Lawlor, Angelo Camano, Chris Stickel and coxswain John
Tridente. The girls in the winning boat were Alexandra Russo, Kiersten Stephens, Kelly
Brady, Alexa Antonioli, Amy Shrader, Danielle Brady, Colleen Smith, Shawnee Foglio and
coxswain Nicole DeCredico.
