Boys Tennis (10-5) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
Kelly Miller's three-set win at No. 1 singles sparked the Raider win.
Three of the matches were decided in three sets.
Golf (8-9) at Carl Arena Tournament (Valleybrook)
Rob Milburn shot an 82 at Valleybrook with John Moore finishing
with an 89. As a team, OCHS finished 26th overall, 9th among CAL teams.

Girls Lacrosse (9-3-2) defeated Camden Catholic,
Casey Beyel scored the game-winner in the final 3 minutes as OC
earned possibly its biggest win ever, knocking off the No. 5 ranked Irish. Beyel & Nikki Patrizzi each
scored 3 goals.
Boys Tennis (9-5) defeated Atlantic City, 3-2
Kelly Miller won in 3 sets at No. 2 singles & both OCHS doubles
teams won in 3 sets in this very close match.
Baseball (10-6) defeated Oakcrest, 4-0
OC's 4th straight win clinches NJSIAA Group 3 tournament spot.
Junior Justin Byrd pitched a 4-hitter, striking out 10.

Jim Crowley was a double winner but the Raiders suffered their 1st
defeat.
Girls Track (4-1) defeated Absegami, 97-43
Melissa Hunter, Allie Moreland & Renee Tomlin were all double
winners. OCHS will compete without star runner Brittany Sedberry (stress fractures) for at least 3 more
weeks.

Freshman Elisa Mateer was low for the Raiders at Greate Bay

Andrea LeFever scored 4 goals for the Raiders who qualified for the
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament for the 1st time.
Boys Tennis (8-5) lost to Vineland, 5-0
OC failed to win a single set against the No. 4 ranked Clan.
Baseball (9-6) defeated Atlantic City, 9-1
Mike Hinsley was the winning pitcher, also driving in a pair of runs
with a single. Marc Hemby hit a home run.
Golf (7-8) defeated Atlantic City, 173-182 (Greate Bay)
Kevin McCarthy & Rob Milburn each shot 41 as OCHS reversed
another early-season defeat.

Boys Tennis (8-4) at CAL Championships (Vineland)
Kyle Gibbs & Kelly Miller both lost opening round singles matches in
straight sets.
Baseball (8-6) defeated Vineland, 9-8
Graham Ginn's 3rd hit of the game tied the score in the 7th, then he
scored the winning run on an RBI by Brett Mensinger. Ginn finished with two doubles & a single. Will
Kleva blasted a home run. Mike Hinsley was the winning pitcher. Vineland was ranked No. 9 in South
Jersey.
Softball (3-12) lost to Vineland, 10-0
Singles by Julie Treen & Lauren Smith were the only two hits by OC.
Thursday, April 28th
Girls Track (3-1) at Penn Relays (Philadelphia)
The OCHS quartet of Allie Moreland, Tiara Tellymonde, Erin Walsh
& Renee Tomlin finished 4th in the Championship of America distance medley. Their time (12:09.47) was
the 25th fastest time in NJ history. They ran the event without super-runner Brittany Sedberry, who is out
with shin splints.
Girls Lacrosse (7-3-2) defeated Mainland, 13-2
Mary Chirichella & Nikki Patrizzi each scored 4 goals as OC won its
3rd straight and stretched its unbeaten streak to five games.
Golf (6-8) defeated Vineland, 173-173 (Buena Vista)
Kevin McCarthy shot a 41 at Buena Vista but it was Justin Heckler's
46 that won the match by one stroke via the tiebreaker.
Wednesday, April 27th
Boys Tennis (8-4) lost to Mainland, 4-1
Kelly Miller won at No. 2 singles when his opponent defaulted. The
2nd doubles team of Lou Bellucci & Colin Halliday suffered its first loss, in three sets.
Baseball (7-6) defeated Mainland, 13-12 (10 innings)
Will Kleva scored the winning run on an error in the 10th, concluding
a game that had a season's worth of highlights. Mainland scored 7 runs in the 5th to tie the game, then
got 3 in the 6th to take the lead. But OC tied it with 3 in the 6th. Mike Hinsley and Doug Stranges hit
back-to-back home runs, Hinsley finishing with 5 RBIs. Winning pitcher Jake Pollock worked the last 4
innings, striking out 6 and allowing just 1 hit.
Golf (5-8) lost to Mainland, 161-169
Trevor Hamlin shot a 41 at Greate Bay.
Softball (3-11) lost to Mainland, 10-0
The Raiders managed just 2 hits.
Tuesday, April 26th
Boys Track (4-0) defeated Mainland, 76-64
Jim Crowley was a triple winner (high jump, long jump, javelin) and
Pat Tolomeo won twice (100 & 200 meters).
Girls Track (3-1) lost to Mainland, 74-66
Renee Tomlin won the 800 & 1600 meters and anchored the winning
4x400 relay team. Melissa Hunter won the 100 & long jump. Mainland swept the throwing events and won
six of the seven events off the track. OC competed without injured junior Brittany Sedberry.
Girls Lacrosse (6-3-2) defeated Lower Cape May, 13-4
Stacie McKinley & Aubrey Clark each scored 3 times.
Golf (5-7) defeated Cumberland, 160-168 (Greate Bay)
Jason Heckler & John Moore both shot three-over 38s at Greate Bay
as OC snapped a 4-match losing streak with its lowest score of the season.
Monday, April 25th
Boys Tennis (8-3) defeated Lower Cape May, 3-2
No. 2 singles player Kelly Miller pulled out a three-set win to provide
the winning point.
Girls Lacrosse (5-3-2) defeated Paul VI, 15-3
Aubrey Clark scored 5 goals.
Baseball (6-6) lost to Lower Cape May, 6-5
The Raiders were done in by another last inning rally as Lower scored
two unearned runs in the 7th for the win. Graham Ginn singled twice for OC.
Golf (4-7) lost to Lower Cape May, 170-173
Rob Milburn shot a 41 at Cape May National. The loss was the 4th
straight for OC and eliminated them from the NJSIAA Group 3 picture.
Softball (3-10) defeated Lower Cape May, 6-1
Laura O'Shea doubles & tripled for OC and Jenna Hemby had 2
singles as they ended a 3-game losing streak.
Sunday, April 24th

The girls varsity eight won its heat with stroke Beth Larsen, Carly
Stranges, Danielle Landi, Merion Read, Danielle Brady, Theresa Laverty, Colleen Smith, Sarah Larsen &
coxswain Mimi Berenato.
Saturday, April 23rd
Boys Track (3-0) finished 7th at Woodbury Relays (West Deptford)
The Raiders were 3rd in both the distance medley & 4x800. Jim
Crowley took 2nd in the javelin, a non-scoring event.
Girls Track (3-0) finished 1st at Woodbury Relays (West Deptford)
OC finished 1st in the 4x200, 4x400 & 4x800 realays, with junior
Renee Tomlin anchoring two of them. The Raiders competed without star distance runner Brittany
Sedberry, who was injured.
Girls Lacrosse (4-3-2) tied Cherokee, 6-6
Casey Beyel & Stacie McKinley both scored in the final minute to
tie the game. McKinley's goal was her third of the game.
Thursday, April 21st
Boys Tennis (7-3) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 4-1
The undefeated doubles team of Lou Bellucci & Colin Halliday
supllied the only OCHS win.
Baseball (6-5) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 5-3
Dan Bonato singled home Mike Dugan to break a 3-3 tie in the top
of the 7th. Bonato also had a double, as did Will Kleva. Justin Byrd was the winning pitcher.
Golf (4-6) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 159-165
Trever Hamlin shot a 40 at Green Tree but OC lost its 3rd straight.
Girls Lacrosse (4-3-1) defeated Middle Township, 18-6
Aubrey Clark scored 4 goals, Nikki Patrizzi & Mary Chiricella each
added 3.
Softball (2-10) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 14-4
Julie Treen had a triple & single for the Raiders, who committed 9
errors. The loss eliminated OC from the NJSIAA Group 3 tournament picture for the 15th straight year.
Wednesday, April 20th
Boys Tennis (7-2) defeated Absegami, 4-1
George McNally's Raiders clinched a spot in the NJSIAA Group 3
Tournament with their 6th straight win. Jaison Udani's three-set win at No. 3 singles and the three-set
victory by Tim Byrne & Chris Vivarelli at first doubles were key wins.
Baseball (5-5) lost to Absegami, 5-4
After OC scored twice in the 7th to take the lead, Gami got three in
the bottom of the 7th to win, culminated by Joe Perez's two-run, walkoff home run. Will Kleva had three
hits and Dan Bonato homered for the Raiders.
Golf (4-5) lost to Absegami, 160-169 (Seaview)
Kevin McCarthy shot a four-over 40 for OC on the Seaview Pine
course.
Softball (2-9) lost to Absegami, 16-3
Natalie Chamberlain had a single & double for the Raiders, who
committed 7 errors.
Tuesday, April 19th
Boys Track (2-0) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 86-54
Boys Track (3-0) defeated Oakcrest, 73-67
Jim Crowley tripled against Oakcrest and Paul Boardman won the
1600 & 3200 meters against both opponents at EHT. The win should get OC a South Jersey ranking,
since Oakcrest was ranked No. 18.
Girls Track (2-0) defeated Oakcrest, 80-59
Girls Track (3-0) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 94.5-41.5
The No. 6 ranked OC girls were led by Brittany Sedberry's sweep of
the 1600 & 3200 and Kayla Ghanavati's win in the 200 & triple jump against EHT. Her 33-3 in the triple
jump was a new school record. The meet was held at Oakcrest.
Golf (4-4) lost to Atlantic City, 172-173
Rob Milburn shot a 41 for OC at Brigantine Beach. It was the Raiders'
second loss by two strokes or less.
Monday, April 18th
Boys Tennis (6-2) defeated Millville, 4-1
Raiders won their 5th straight. Kelly Miller & Jaison Udani won their
singlres matches in straight sets.
Golf (4-3) defeated Millville, 168-182
Jason Heckler shot a 41 at Greate Bay.
Baseball (5-4) defeated Millville, 8-4
Will Kleva got the win and drove home the 1st run. Mark Hemby's
double was a key hit. Hem,by and Mike Hinsley each had 2 hits.

Nikki Patrizzi led OC with 3 goals.

Lauren Whilden pitched a no-hitter against OC, striking out 12.

Paul Boardman, Mike Long, Ryan Birchmeir & Matt Cowhey won
the distance medley relay.
Girls Track (1-0) finished 2nd in West Deptford Relays
Allie Moreland, Erin Walsh, Renee Tomlin & Brittany Sedberry won
both the distance medley and 4x800 relays, setting a meet record in the latter.

Baseball (4-4) lost to Winslow Township, 10-2
Matt Troum had a pair of singles for OC which fell behind, 6-0, in
the 1st inning. The loss ended a three-game win streak.
Thursday, April 14th
Boys Tennis (5-2) defeated Hammonton, 3-2
OC made it four straight, behind Kelly Miller's win at No. 2 singles
and a sweep of the doubles.
Baseball (4-3) defeated Hammonton, 5-4
The Raiders won their 3rd straight, scoring the winning run in the 5th
of Graham Ginn RBI ground out. Mike Hinsley was the winning pitcher.
Golf (3-3) defeated Hammonton, 161-184
Kevin McCarthy and John Moore both shot three-over 39 at
Pinelands.
Girls Lacrosse (2-2-1) defeated Kingsway, 15-1
Aubrey Clark scored four times as OC remained undefeated in
division play.

The Raiders lost their 5th straight, committing 7 errors and
Delia Barr delivered the only hit off Blue Devils' ace Jen Haas.

Boys Tennis (4-2) defeated Middle Township, 5-0
The Raiders won their 3rd straight, taking all five in straight sets and
losing only eight games in the entire match.
Girls Lacrosse (1-2-1) tied Seneca
Casey Beyel scored 4 times to help OC to the split.
Tuesday, April 12th
Boys Tennis (3-2) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
The Raiders won all five matches in straight sets, including the
6-2,6-4 win by Kyle Gibbs at No. 1 singles.
Baseball (3-3) defeated Oakcrest, 7-5
Seniors Mark Hemby and Will Kleva delivered key hits. Hemby had a
home run & sacrifice fly while Kleva drove home 2 runs with a double. Jake Pollock was the winning
pitcher.
Golf (2-3) lost to Oakcrest, 163-178
Jason Heckler shot a 40 at Greate Bay but the undefeated Falcons
prevailed.
Softball (1-5) lost to Oakcrest, 7-0
OC managed just two hits against the Falcons, who earned their
first win.
Monday, April 11th
Golf (2-2) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 169-174
Sophomore Kevin McCarthy became the first Raider to break 40
with a four-over 39 at Greate Bay.
Boys Tennis (2-2) defeated Atlantic City, 4-1
Kyle Gibbs won a tight victory (7-6,6-7,6-2) at No. 1 singles and
Kelly Miller won at No. 2. The Raiders swept the doubles matches in a pair of three-set thrillers.
Baseball (2-3) defeated Atlantic City, 10-8
The Raiders took the lead for good with five runs in the 4th. Will Kleva
had a double and triple, driving home two runs. Graham Ginn got the win.
Softball (1-4) lost to Atlantic City, 7-3
Kimmy Krzyk's triple was the big hit for OC, which hurt itself with
7 errors.

The Ocean City girls won two heats, including the junior four boat
with coxswain Sarah Dickey, Jill Tracey, Megan DiGiovanni, Dana Eiselen and stroke Samantha Steindl.

OCHS junior Mike Davis wins Boo Pergament Award as most
improved basketball player in the CAL. Kaitlin DuRoss scored 8 points and had 10 rebounds in the Just
4 Wheels Girls Classic. Phil Schaffer had 7 rebounds, 3 steals & 4 assists and Ed Paone added 2 points
& 4 rebounds in the Ocean City Home Bank Dixie Howell Memorial Classic.

Graham Ginn blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the
5th to give OCHS the win via the "Mercy Rule". Ginn also was the winning pitcher. Mike Hinsley had
4 hits, including a pair of doubles. Mike Dugan had a single & double and Brett Mensinger two singles
to contribute to the Raiders' 15-hit attack.
