Friday, October 31st
Girls Tennis (15-4) defeated Mainland, 4-1
Emma Kelsey, Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett won the three singles matches in straight sets. OC finished 2nd behind Millville in the conference standings.
Football (4-3) lost to Absegami, 14-13
The Raiders qualified for the Group 3 playoffs despite the loss. Chris Curran threw a TD to Sean Feeney in the 3rd quarter and then caught a TD pass from Matt Lombardi with 8.9 seconds left. But his tying extra point went wide.
Thursday, October 30th
Boys CC (8-1) finished 1st at CAL Meet (Stockton)
Senior Brett Johnson finished 1st, just ahead of a trio of Mainland runners. But Miles Schoedler was 5th, Mike Hagan 9th and Erik Johnson 11th to help the Raiders win in team scoring.
Girls Tennis (14-4) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
All 5 matches were won in straight sets, including Emma Kelsey's 6-0,6-1 win at No. 1 singles.
Girls CC (6-2) finished 5th at CAL Meet (Stockton)
Anna Ceniccola finished 8th overall but injuries and illness cut into the Raiders' depth.
Wednesday, October 29th
Field Hockey (18-0-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 2-1
Colleen Slaughter and Liz Cruz scored to open a 2-0 lead. The win completed an undefeated CAL season for the Raiders.
Boys Soccer (15-1-3) defeated Oakcrest, 4-0
The Raiders completed an undefeated CAL season. Cory Hennessy, Cody Letsinger, Caleb Garza and Giancarlo Granese scored for OCHS and Andrew D'Ottavi notched his 15th shutout. Ocean City is the No. 1 seed for the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament.
Girls Tennis (13-4) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 3-2
Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett won in straight sets at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and the second doubles team of Andrea Rubin and Aida Pleho did likewise.
Girls Soccer (11-4-1) defeated Oakcrest, 1-0
The Raiders completed their first undefeated, untied CAL season. Bridget Donlan scored the only goal in the second half. It was OC's fifth 1-0 win of the year.

Girls Tennis (12-4) vs Mainland - postponed until 10/31
Monday, October 27th
Field Hockey (17-0-1) defeated Vineland, 7-0
Danielle McNally and Alex Barbieri each scored twice.
Girls Tennis (12-4) defeated Vineland, 5-0
Emma Kelsey won in straight sets at No. 1 singles as did Carrie Jaquett at No. 3.
Girls Soccer (10-4-1) lost to Gloucester Catholic

Boys Soccer (14-1-3) defeated Cumberland, 5-0
Friday, October 24th
Field Hockey (16-0-1) defeated Millville, 3-0
The Raiders clinched their 12th straight conference championship. Lauren Price scored twice and Natalie Hunter earned the shutout.
Boys CC (8-1) finished 1st at County Meet (CM Court House)
Sophomore Miles Schoedler was the county champion and was followed across the finish line by teammates Mike Hagan and Erik Johnson. Defending champion Brett Johnson was away on a college visit and did not run.
Girls Soccer (10-3-1) lost to Clearview, 2-0
Girls CC (6-2) finished 2nd at County Meet (CM Court House)
Anna Ceniccola finished 3rd overall but the Raiders lost to Wildwood Catholic, 24-31. Hillary Morris was 5th and Kaylie Gallagher 6th.
Girls Tennis (11-4) lost to Millville, 4-1
Emma Kelsey got OC's only win at No. 1 singles.
Football (4-2) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 22-19
Chris Curran kicked a school-record 44 yard field goal, ran for a TD and caught a TD pass from Matt Lombardi. Greg Hoyle ran for 117 yards and a TD.
Wednesday, October 22nd
Field Hockey (15-0-1) defeated Atlantic City, 3-1
Colleen Slaughter, Alex Moncman and Lauren Price scored for OCHS.
Boys Soccer (13-1-3) defeated Hammonton, 4-0
OCHS clinched the American Conference title. Four different players scored, two with assists from Nick Lombardi.
Girls Soccer (10-2-1) defeated Hammonton, 5-1
The Raiders clinched the American Conference championship with the win. Bridget Donlan scored twice and added an assist.
Girls Tennis (11-3) lost to Atlantic City, 3-2
Carrie Jaquett and the second doubles team of Aida Pleho-Andrea Rubin were winners but the Raiders dropped back into a tie for 1st place.
Tuesday, October 21st
Girls Tennis (11-2) defeated Absegami, 5-0
Monday, October 20th
Girls Soccer (9-2-1) tied Cherry Hill East, 2-2
The Raiders trailed, 2-0, with 10 minutes when Noelani Lawler and Alexis Shukowitsh both scored. Liz Ker assisted on both goals.
Saturday, October 18th
Field Hockey (14-0-1) defeated Holy Cross, 3-0
Colleen Slaughter had a goal and an assist.
Friday, October 17th
South Jersey Soccer Coaches Tournament:
Boys Soccer (12-1-3) tied Cherokee, 0-0 (Lost Shootout)
The Raiders were shut out for the 2nd straight game though they forced Cherokee goalie Greg Roth to make 13 saves. Andrew D'Ottavi got the shutout for OCHS.
Football (3-2) defeated Millville, 27-13
Chris Curran caught a TD pass from Matt Lombardi, ran for a touchdown, kicked 3 extra points and kicked a record-tying 2 field goals.
Thursday, October 16th
Field Hockey (13-0-1) defeated Hammonton, 3-1
Lauren Price broke a 1-1 tie with a second half goal, followed by a penalty stroke goal by Jen Staab. Liz Cruz scored the first half goal.
NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 Tennis Championship:
Girls Tennis (10-2) lost to Moorestown, 5-0
The Raiders failed to win a set in the match at Williamstown but managed to win 21 games against the Quakers.

Boys Soccer (12-1-2) tied Eastern, 0-0
Tuesday, October 14th
Field Hockey (12-0-1) defeated Mainland, 4-1
Lauren Price registered the three-goal hat trick and Liz Cruz added a fourth goal.
NJSIAA Group 3 Tennis Tournament:
Girls Tennis (10-1) defeated Shawnee, 4-1
Singles players Emma Kelsey and Carrie Jaquett and the second doubles team of Aida Pleho and Andrea Rubin all won in straight sets to advance the Raiders to the South Jersey final.
Boys CC (8-1) defeated Vineland, 18-45
The Raiders clinched the American Conference championship with Brett Johnson finishing first, Miles Schoedler second and, after Vineland took a third, OCHS runners finished fourth through eighth.
Girls Soccer (9-2) defeated Mainland, 1-0
Liz Ker did it again. She scored the only goal - her 4th straight game-winning goal for the Raiders.
Girls CC (6-2) defeated Vineland, 24-33
Anna Ceniccola finished 1st and, after Vineland runners were 2nd and 3rd, Sam Piergross, Shannon Greene and Hillary Morris were 4-5-6 to put OC in control.
Monday, October 13th
Boys Soccer (12-1-1) defeated Mainland, 3-0
Giancarlo Granese, Josh Raymond and Nick Lombardi scored and Andrew D'Ottavi got the shutout.
Saturday, October 11th
Boys CC (7-1) finished 6th at Manhattan Invitational (NY)
Brett Johnson finished 6th in a tough field at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City. Miles Schoedler finished 24th, Mike Hagan 54th, Erik Johnson 59th and Mike Gavin 92nd.
Girls Soccer (8-2) defeated Shawnee, 1-0
Liz Ker scored another game-winning goal for the Raiders.
Girls CC (5-2) finished 17th at Manhattan Invitational (NY)
Anna Ceniccola finished 55th, Sam Piergross was 89th and Hillary Morris was 97th.
Friday, October 10th
Field Hockey (11-0-1) defeated Absegami, 2-0
Colleen Slaughter and Liz Cruz scored, Natalie Hunter got her 10th shutout.
Boys Soccer (11-1-1) defeated St. Augustine, 2-0
Giancarlo Granese and Kevin Curran scored as OC defeated The Prep to take the lead in the American Conference. Andrew D'Ottavi got the shutout.
NJSIAA Group 3 Tennis Tournament:
Girls Tennis (9-1) defeated Seneca, 5-0
Emma Kelsey, Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett all won their singles matches in straight sets.
Football (2-2) lost to Hammonton, 42-13
Chris Curran threw a pair of touchdowns - one each to Derrick Jones and Andrew Fiorentino.
Wednesday, October 8th
Field Hockey (10-0-1) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
Colleen Slaughter scored twice and Natalie Hunter got the shutout.
Boys Soccer (10-1-1) defeated Oakcrest, 2-0
Cody Letsinger and Corey Hennessy each scored and Andrew D'Ottavi earned the shutout.
Girls Soccer (7-2) defeated Oakcrest, 2-1 2OT
Liz Ker scored in the second overtime for the win. Nicole Steel scored OC's 1st goal.
Tuesday, October 7th
Girls Tennis (8-1) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
Emma Kelsey, Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett won their singles matches by identical 6-0,6-0 scores.
Boys CC (6-1) defeated Absegami, 15-47
Boys CC (7-1) defeated Oakcrest, 18-47
Brett Johnson, Miles Schoedler and Mike Hagan were one-two-three in a tri-meet that finished at Carey Stadium..
Girls CC (4-2) lost to Absegami, 22-35
Girls CC (5-2) defeated Oakcrest, 16-39
Anna Ceniccola finished second and Hillary Morris was fourth but Absegami runners filled the other five spots in the top seven Tuesday afternoon as Gami clinched the American Conference championship.
Monday, October 6th
Field Hockey (9-0-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 3-2
Colleen Slaughter scored twice as the Raiders remained undefeated.
Boys Soccer (9-1-1) defeated Mainland, 2-1
After a tough 1-1 first half, Cody Letsinger scored in the 2nd half for the OCHS win. Giancarlo Granese scored the first half goal and Josh Raymond assisted on both.
Girls Tennis (7-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 3-2
Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett each won singles matches and the Raiders took the second doubles to maintain their tie for first place.
Girls Soccer (6-2) defeated Mainland, 1-0
Liz Ker netted the only goal as OCHS remained undefeated in the conference.
Saturday, October 4th
Boys Soccer (8-1-1) defeated Middle Township, 2-0
Cody Letsinger scored both goals in the second half, including a penalty kick with three minutes left.
Boys CC (5-1) finished in 3rd Shore Invitational (Holmdel)
Brett Johnson finished first and Miles Schoedler 8th in Division C of the prestigious meet. Johnson had the 2nd fastest time of all runners.
Girls CC (4-1) finished 14th in Shore Invitational (Holmdel)
Freshmen Kaylie Gallagher was the first Raider to finish, coming in 48th. Hillary Morris was 49th. Anna Ceniccola did not run.
Girls Soccer (5-2) lost to Williamstown, 1-0
Friday, October 3rd
Field Hockey (8-0-1) tied Cherokee, 0-0 2OT
Natalie Hunter made 2 saves while the Raiders made 18 shots on goal.
Girls Tennis (6-1) defeated Vineland, 5-0
Emma Kelsey, Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett each won singles matches in straight sets.
Football (2-1) defeated Vineland, 27-26
Greg Hoyle scored 4 TDs, including 86 yards with the opening kickoff and 51 yards with a punt to tie the score before Chris Curran's winning extra point in the 4th quarter.
Thursday, October 2nd
Field Hockey (8-0) defeated Vineland, 5-0
Colleen Slaughter and Lauren Price each scored twice, Slaughter also adding an assist. Natalie Hunter did not have to stop a single shot on goal.
Boys Soccer (7-1-1) tied St. Augustine, 1-1 2OT
Though this was the first time the two schools ever met in a conference game, it was the fourth straight time they had played to a tie.
Tuesday, September 30th
Field Hockey (7-0) defeated Millville, 4-0
Lauren Price had the three-goal hat trick for the Raiders.
Boys Soccer (7-1) defeated Millville, 4-1
Kevin Curran scored a pair of goals while Nick Lombardi had two assists. Freshman Kieran Keyser got the win in goal.
Boys CC (4-1) defeated Millville, 15-49
Boys CC (5-1) defeated St. Augustine, 22-36
Brett Johnson returned from his injury to finish first and sophomore Miles Schoedler was 10 seconds behind.
Girls Soccer (5-1) defeated Millville, 1-0
Bridget Donlan scored the only goal with less than nine minutes to play.
Girls CC (4-1) lost to Millville, 24-31
Anna Ceniccola finished 3rd and OC runners were 5th through 7th but the Millville 1-2 punch of twins Brooke and Britney Kott were too much to overcome.
Monday, September 29th
Girls Tennis (5-1) defeated Millville, 3-2
Emily Kornberg won a big three-set match at No. 2 singles and the Raiders swept the two doubles matches.
Saturday, September 27th
Boys CC (3-1) 10th in South Jersey Shootout (GCC)
Mike Hagan finished 18th in the 1-2 race,. second among CAL runners. Michael Galvin was the first CAL runner to finish in the 3-4 Race, taking ninth overall. And Jeff Raab was 15th in the 5-6-7 Race, the first CAL runner to finish. Brett Johnson (hamstring) and Miles Schoedler (family obligation) did not run.

Friday, September 26th
Field Hockey (6-0) defeated Atlantic City, 4-0
Colleen Slaughter had a goal and an assist and Natalie Hunter got her fifth shutout.
Boys Soccer (6-1) defeated Wildwood Catholic, 5-0
Kevin Curran, Giancarlo Granese, Cody Letsinger, Caleb Garza and Brandon Klein scored for OC. Andrew D'Ottavi got the shutout.
Football (1-1) lost to Mainland, 56-7
Sean Bryce scored with 1:30 left to avoid a shutout.
Wednesday, September 24th
Boys Soccer (5-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
Giancarlo Granese, scored 4 goals and Andrew D'Ottavi got the shutout.
Girls Soccer (4-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 3-1
Becky Canderan, Christina Hankin and Nicole Steele scored.
Tuesday, September 23rd
Boys CC (2-1) lost to Atlantic City, 27-29
Boys CC (3-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 16-43
The Raiders' 17-meet win streak came to an end with defending state champion Brett Johnson watching with a hamstring injury. Miles Schoedler finished first but Atlantic City runners were the next three to cross. Freshman Erik Johnson was fifth for OCHS and Ryan Mazzeo finished sixth.
Girls CC (3-0) defeated Atlantic City, 19-39
Girls CC (4-0) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 21-38
Anna Ceniccola and Hilary Morris finished one-two in the tri-meet and the Raiders' pack finished sixth, seventh, ninth and 10th.
Monday, September 22nd
Field Hockey (5-0) defeated Hammonton, 4-0
Freshman Liz Cruz scored twice and Natalie Hunter got her fourth shutout.
Boys Soccer (4-1) defeated Absegami, 6-0
Kevin Curran had the three-goal hat trick and Giancarlo Granese added two goals.
Girls Soccer (3-1) defeated Absegami, 2-0
Taylor Hennessy scored both goals.
Saturday, September 20th
Field Hockey (4-0) defeated Rancocas Valley, 2-0
Colleen Slaughter and Jenn Staab each scored, Natalie Hunter fashioned the shutout.
Boys CC (2-0) at Cherokee Challenge
Girls CC (2-0) at Cherokee Challenge
Miles Schoedler finished first in the sophomore race in this prestigious event in just his second cross country race. Erik Johnson finished fifth for OCHS in the freshmen race. The top finisher among Raider girls was Anna Ceniccola, who was 22nd in the senior race. Brett Johnson did not run because of a tight hamstring.
Boys Soccer (3-1) lost to Rancocas Valley, 1-0
GK Andrew D'Ottavi made five saves to keep the Raiders in the game but OCHS could not score.
Girls Soccer (2-1) lost to Rancocas Valley, 2-1
OC's Bridget Donlan tied the score with 9 minutes left but RV produced the winner.
Friday, September 19th
Football (1-0) defeated Oakcrest, 31-20
Chris Curran scored one TD, passed for another, kicked four extra points and a field goal. Greg Hoyle rushed for 155 yards and a TD.
Girls Tennis (4-1) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
OCHS won the three singles matches in straight sets with Carrie Jaquett improving to 5-0.
Thursday, September 18th
Girls Soccer (2-0) defeated Hammonton, 4-1
Liz Ker, Tara Mousaw, Nicole Steele and Taylor Hennessy scored.
Field Hockey (3-0) defeated Mainland, 4-0
Colleen Slaughter scored a pair of goals and Natalie Hunter recorded the shutout.
Boys Soccer (3-0) defeated Hammonton, 4-0
Giancarlo Granese and Josh Raymond each scored two goals. Andrew D'Ottavi turned away 15 Hammonton shots.

Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett won singles matches but Mainland swept the doubles.

Colleen Slaughter and Danielle McNally each scored twice.
Boys Soccer (2-0) defeated Atlantic City, 4-0
Kevin Curran had a goal and an assist in the game played at Carey Stadium.

Boys CC (2-0) defeated Mainland, 24-35
Brett Johnson finished first by nearly 30 seconds and Miles Schoedler was a solid second in the tri-meet.

Anna Ceniccola, Hilary Morris and Ashleigh Dinan finished 1-2-3 in the tri-meet.

The Raiders clinched a spot in the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament with the victory. Carrie Jaquett remained undefeated with a 6-0,6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

Field Hockey (1-0) defeated Oakcrest, 9-0
Colleen Slaughter had the three-goal hat trick. Danielle McNally and Lauren Price scored twice.
Boys Soccer (1-0) defeated Vineland, 3-0
Brandon Klein scored twice and assisted Kevin Curran on the other goal.
Girls Soccer (1-0) defeated Vineland, 4-0
Liz Ker, Becky Canderan, Jillian Baltz and Taylor Hennessy scored.

The three OC singles players - Emma Kelsey, Emily Kornberg and Carrie Jaquett - won their matches by a combined 36-1.

Girls Tennis (1-0) defeated Atlantic City, 3-2
Carrie Jaquett won at No. 3 singles and the Raiders swept the doubles, including a three-set win by Andrea Rubin and Katelynn Wintz at second doubles.

Trio of new head coaches confirmed
OCHS confirmed Matt Purdue as boys cross country coach, Mike Castellini as wrestling coach and Debbie Cathcart as indoor track coach for the 2008-09 school season.
