OCHS First Decade Teams
Nancy White was top Raider girls basketball player in First Decade!

Not very many girls basketball programs had a better decade than Ocean City High School
had in The First Decade. The Raiders won two South Jersey titles, three overall
Cape-Atlantic League championships and five division crowns. Many talented players
contributed to that success.
The player who contributed the most was Nancy White, who played four years for the
Raiders, was a two-time all-conference selection and All-South Jersey. White scored
over 1,000 points, was one of the all-time OCHS leaders in assists and guided the team
into its first state final in 29 years.
Joining White on the first team are two other 1,000-point scorers - Kelly Brady and Jessica
Brookes. Both were all-conference selections and Brady was All-South Jersey. Joining them
are two other all-conference choices, Catie LaRue and Shannon Lane.
The second team features sisters Ashley DuRoss and Kaitlin DuRoss, workhorse Danielle Brady,
versatile Michelle McKinley and sparkplug Sarah Gibbs.
A new decade began on Jan. 1, 2010 so performances since then are not taken into consideration
for the First Decade winter sports teams.
Nancy White joins Joi Johnson (90s), Margaret Rowell (80s) and Lisa Foglio (70s) as OCHS Girls
Basketball Players of the Decade.
