Heath Muzslay top Raider swimmer of the 90s!

There was success in Ocean City High School swimming during the 1990s.
The Raiders won a trio of Cape-Atlantic League championships in the first four years of the decade, led by
a number of record-setting swimmers.
And the best of them all was Heath Muzslay,
Muzslay was a state champion in the 100-meter butterfly, setting a school record of 58.85 seconds.
"There have been hundreds of good swimmers come through the Ocean City program," said former coach
Lloyd Hayes, "who could not swim the 100 freestyle in that time. And Heath did it in the butterfly."
Muzslay was also part of the all-decade team in the 50-meter freestyle and as a key member of two relay
teams.
Our all-decade team is representative of a team entered into a scholastic meet. Swimmers could only be
named in a maximum of two individual events and as part of two relay teams. Two swimmers were
selected for each event.
Other top swimmers during those 10 seasons were Geoff Wilcox, Kyle Richards and Brian Kozakowski.
Each earned two All-90s starting positions in individual events. Richards was part of two relay teams and
Kozakowski one.
Though Wilcox was not on an All-90s relay team, he was part of the 400-meter freestyle team that set a
school record in 1988, before the start of this decade.
