THE KEN LEARY MEMORIAL AWARD

Beginning in 2016, Prime Events,
in association with William Schoppy Inc., began presenting
THE KEN LEARY MEMORIAL AWARD to the Cape-Atlantic League team
that is ranked highest in the final Boys Basketball Online 25.
That school will display the award for one year.

The award is named for the veteran Pleasantville High School coach
and star player at Ocean City who died in 2016.
He was the first Cape-Atlantic League basketball player to score 1,000 career points
and went on to a successful career at Boston University.
He then returned to the CAL as Pleasantville's coach,
winning three state titles, eight South Jersey championships and 519 games.
